A bit surprised because they gave me the Samsung i550w cause the prize stated was Samsung i550. The different was W = Wireless. But, don’t care I already using it.

Finally, I got it!

Finally I can throw my old Samsung phone that I used for 5 years. Don’t ask me why I use that’s long cause it never spoil so I didn’t change lor… LoL Not to mention my first & second phone were Samsung toO. This gonna be my third.

Faster overall performance: The new Mobile Intel 45 Express chipset increases the frequency of the front-side bus to 1,066MHz, which helps all the components of the system communicate more quickly. The point is moot if you’re using DDR2 memory, which currently tops out at 800MHz. But the new chipset also supports DDR3 memory, which has a higher peak throughput than previous memory technologies. Intel is always reluctant to quantify performance improvements, but company representatives have promised “dramatic” performance gains.

More flexible graphics. One of the big developments with Centrino 2 is support for switchable graphics. The new chipset enables systems that switch–either automatically or user-controlled–between integrated Intel graphics (to conserve battery life) and discrete graphics (for more powerful performance). Lenovo and Sony have already promised this feature in some of their latest models.

Enhanced network connections: The two wireless options available with the new platform support the 802.11n standard, and Intel promises you’ll be able to roam up to twice as far as you could with the company’s previous Wi-Fi chip. It’s also poised to start offering WiMAX support in the fall. (Yes, WiMAX that’s why I introduce this… LoL )

On the wired side, support for high-speed Gigabit Ethernet–a feature that’s likely to appeal to business users–is standard with Centrino 2.

Lenovo’s 15-inch ThinkPad T500 allows the user to switch between using the onboard integrated graphics and the discrete ATI Mobility Radeon graphics.

Toshiba’s Qosmio G50 which is using an Intel P8600 mobile processor which features an 18.4-inch Full HD panel and a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT.

HP’s addition to the Centrino 2 platform was the 14.1-inch HP Pavilion dv4 which features a Blu-ray combo drive.

The ASUS G50V featuring the Montevina platform with a NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT and up to 8GB of DDR3 1066 RAM.

The Acer Aspire series was also updated with the Centrino 2 platform and again, you’ll note that it’s also WiMAX capable.

Hence,

If you plan to get a laptop, remember the one with the Centrino 2 platform. No more Centrino or Centrino Duo… -_-”

Skip my class going to this event. WiMAX, finally come to town. P1 W1MAX will be launched on 20th August 2008.

Michael Lai, CEO of P1 and the honorable guest, Datuk Shahziman giving speech from the start. After the speeches, there was a dance, fireworks launch, video presentation by P1 and the feelings of the WiMAX subscribers.

Lastly, presentation of the Malaysia Book of Records certificates to P1 and the first 10 official Wimax subscribers in Malaysia.

Like mine college one whole block using the WiFi. There are 30+ students using WiFi. There are 40+ students at computer lab & 10+ students at the library using the LAN. Some more haven’t plus the lecturer’s office… Can you imagine 100+ people sharing the bandwidth?

I’m not sure how many router they had, but I know the router & switch on/off that control the WiFi and most of the LAN mounted at where… Everytime the ‘Limited or No Connectivity’ problem occurred then I’ve to go restart the router just because only few people knew what’s going on… >(

Last week, when I online at the library using WiFi then a Chinese wears t-shirt, short pants with sandal walked in. He opened 2 laptops, meanwhile the internet slowing down. I stared at his laptop then i noticed 2 of his laptops also opened ‘Thunder’. I really on WTF mode already… Think about other students that use internet doing research have to wait few minute or the page not even load at all!!! His mama really born worng him one… >(

Please be more consideration when using public service. Always think about other people first…

Now I consider to get a broadband which can online everywhere. Yes, I’m looking forward to WiMAX the only broadband that can satisfy me.
