Intro,
Hong Kong-based men’s lifestyle magazine, Men’s Uno (Chinese Magazine with Trend on MAN), is set to make its debut in Malaysia in May, going head to head with New Icon For Him, a publication by Life Publishers, a subsidiary of media owner, Nanyang Siang Pau.
Astro has been appointed the licensee partner for Malaysia. According to a report in Marketing Interactive a spokesperson from Astro said the magazine’s circulation is 35,000 and will be aimed at the upper middle class segment of the market.
New Icon For Him claims to have a circulation of close to 40,000.
Men’s Uno will target advertisers from the fashion brands to electronic gadgets. Advertisers that have come onboard include Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Dunhill, according to the Astro spokesperson. The magazine will retail at RM10 (€1.99), at newsstands.
Men’s Uno is originally Taiwan-based and recently moved its head office to Hong Kong, China.
